October 2026 · first App Store release
Homecart arrives on the App Store after a good year of daily use in a few families and shared flats. Included:
- Shared list for the household, join by code or QR code, initials on every item, “I'll bring it”.
- Sections and stores: automatic sorting, a route per store, and the learned route from the order you check off.
- Rhythm and suggestions: shopping day (two as well), evening reminder, the careful question after the second purchase, proof on long-press, double-buy brake.
- Guest groups with settle-up: guests without an app, expenses, shares, payment paths, PayPal link, settle-up as an image.
- Widgets (grocery list, running low, Lock Screen), Siri, Control Center, quick add.
- Multiple lists and templates.
- Six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch. Sorting and Siri understand items in each of them.
- Homecart Pro as a one-time purchase for the whole household, three prices of your choice.
- Colour themes Klar, Fresh, Carrot and Berry; light and dark; serif or sans headlines.
Before
2025 to 2026 · as “Einkauf” among family and friends
During its test phase Homecart was simply called “Einkauf” (German for “shopping”) and was used in a handful of households for over a year. Much from that time is deliberately gone: recipes, a spending report and a receipt scanner were tried and removed because nobody needed them day to day. What worked every day stayed.
