Widgets, Siri & Control Center

Adding widgets

Long-press the Home Screen → Edit → Add widget → Homecart. There are: Grocery list (small: count and next items; medium and large: with check-off buttons and a plus), Running low (what's due by rhythm, with an “add to list” button) and Lock Screen widgets. Small widgets are free; medium, large and “Running low” are part of Pro. Widgets show the app's latest state and refresh after every change in the app.

Siri

Under Settings → Siri → Turn on. Then: “Hey Siri, add milk to Homecart” or “Hey Siri, add to my Homecart list” (Siri asks what). The item lands on the list immediately, for everyone. Don't want to say the app name? Turn on “Without the app name” and give Homecart access to Reminders: Siri then writes to the Reminders list “Grocery list”, Homecart picks the items up and empties it again, quantities included.

Control Center and quick add

In Control Center (Edit → Add control → Homecart) there's “Add item”: one tap opens the app with the keyboard in the field. Long-pressing the app icon does the same.

The widget shows an old state

iOS limits how often widgets may refresh. Open Homecart once and the state is fresh. After tapping a widget button, the widget updates immediately.
