List, stores & routes

From two items on, Homecart groups the list by section: fruit & vegetables, bakery, dairy & chilled, meat, frozen, pantry, sweets & snacks, drinks, household, drugstore. The order is your way through the store. Reorder right in the list: long-press a section header → move up or down. Or drag under Settings → Stores & route, where only sections you actually use are listed.

Under Settings → Stores & route → Add store enter your stores. A bar then appears above the list: Everywhere · Target · Walmart. One tap tells the app where you are, and the list sorts by that store's route. Each store has its own route. To show an item only at a certain store: long-press → choose store. The store choice is per device.

Homecart remembers the order in which you check things off in a store. After three trips there, it arranges the sections the way you actually walk. Nothing to do, just pick the store in the bar before checking off. A route you sorted by hand always wins.

Wrong section? Long-press → Category. It applies to the whole household, forever, and is never overwritten automatically. Homecart learns from it: move “Oatly Barista” to dairy and “Oatly Oat” lands there next time. Custom sections (“Hardware store”, “Pharmacy”) are created under Settings → Categories & route.

Tap the title top left to open the side panel and create more lists: party, hardware store, holiday. Each list has its own items; deleting a list moves open items back to the main list. Templates are lists you need again and again: save a finished list “as template”, load it into a new list with one tap. Free: the main list plus two more lists or templates; unlimited with Pro.

Paste text that looks like several things (several lines, commas, “and”) and Homecart turns each line into an item, quantities included. Works with ingredient lists from recipe sites as well as “can you bring milk, butter and eggs” from a message.
